Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel was basic but had modern facilities, and our room was available for an early check-in at 4 pm. The TV channel selection was very poor, especially considering the price we paid. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making our stay welcoming. The location left a bit to be desired, not able to fully enjoy the pool due to disruptive teenagers. The dining experience was disappointing for the price we paid, with cold food and limited options.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel with beautiful room views, but appointments for services must be booked in advance to avoid missing out. The staff, especially Sinead and Gerry, were incredibly kind and helpful, making our experience enjoyable. The location was peaceful and close to town, offering a serene atmosphere. However, the old house facilities were unused, and the dining experience could be improved with faster service.
My stay at the hotel was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was very helpful throughout my visit, making it a truly pleasant experience. The room lacked tea/coffee making facilities initially, but once provided, it was a peaceful retreat with a comfortable bed and excellent pillows. The Jacuzzi, although a bit small, added to the overall calming atmosphere of the room.
The hotel rooms were great with no complaints and really nice. They were much bigger than most European hotel rooms, and the Jacuzzi was original and expansive, beautifully appointed with a marble fireplace and a 4-poster bed. However, it could only comfortably fit 4 guests. The service was amazing, especially with children during mid-term break, with lovely and friendly staff. The location was ideal for visiting the beautiful city of Kilkenny and situated in gorgeous parkland just a short drive from the city center. The dining options were plentiful, with a good variety to suit all tastes. The facilities were superb, offering a lovely relaxing spa treatment and facilities. However, the draught beer was flat, and the Guinness was poor. The breakfast was delish, but it would have been more convenient if the bar stayed open for food until 9 instead of 8.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel! The rooms were amazing, with wine and chocolates waiting for us, and a nice handwritten note. The old-style room featured a four-poster bed and a spacious bathroom, though it lacked a coffee machine after the first night. The service was top-notch, especially after they addressed our initial concerns efficiently. The location, though small and somewhat bright, was ideal for exploring Kilkenny, and the town was within easy reach. The dining experience was delicious, with a great variety of options and lovely staff, despite being a bit overcrowded. Overall, a fantastic experience with a few minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were spacious, comfy, with a lovely shower room, extremely clean and spacious, including a walk-in shower and a bath tub. The service was top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff always ensuring everything went smoothly. The location was impressive and comfortable, offering lovely walks and being within easy reach of Kilkenny City. The dining experience was out of this world. The facilities were exceptional, especially the thermal suite and reception area.
